The C.N.H.M. successfully participated in the 7th PANHELLENIC CONFERENCE OF PEEKPE on 8 - 10 May 2015 in Volos.

The 7th PANHELLENIC CONFERENCE OF PEEKPE had the theme: "ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABILITY".

Our Museum participated at the invitation of the President of PEEKPE and the entire Board. The opportunity presented by the Helmi Museum of Natural History to the visitors to get to know through the exhibits of the Museum the flora and fauna of Zakynthos but also the world as well as species of rocks and minerals of our region and not only was presented in posters.

The Museum was represented by the President of the Museum Mr. Dionysios Triantaphyllos who is also an elected Member of the audit committee of PEEKPE.

The Conference aimed to change attitudes and behaviors through educational programs, research, school networks. Actions and activities in Greece.

The presence of the Museum at the Conference, apart from its participation, was intended to renew the good cooperation with the University Teachers who support us, as well as to open new collaborations with organizations working for the protection of the environment such as the Greek Nature Protection Company , the Sustainable school etc.

Our goal is always our systematic contribution to the formation of a human behavior that will respect and protect nature.
