Educational programs for different groups of children according to age are organized and produced.

The topics selected for each educational program stem from the sections of the HNHM to achieve the interaction of children with the exhibits too.

The materials of the training programs are organized appropriately so that the programs constitute:

• A base for the acquaintance with the natural environment of the island.
• A lever to raise awareness on protection issues regarding the Greek natural and cultural heritage, and familiarization with the principle of sustainable /viable development.

Educational programs utilize not only the exhibition halls (interaction with the exhibits) but also the audiovisual facilities of the presentations / projection room.

It regards exhibition surfaces and structures aimed at children in order to enrich, their knowledge of the natural environment elements, in a pleasant way. There are various activities in the field proposed, which children can perform either alone or in groups.

The themes are taken from the Museum’s exhibits.
